Engineer Jameel was born in Campbellpur now called Attock City. He was student of Cantonment Board English Public School, Campbellpur now called F. G. Degree College and Cadet College, Hasan Abdal from 1964-69.
His education career remained First Class throughout his academic career; He did his B.Sc. Civil Engineering in First Division from Faculty of Engineering, University of Peshawar in year 1977.
He originally belongs to an agriculturist family of Village Shamas Abad in Tehsil Hazro, District Attock but settled in Attock City since year 1922 after his late father Malik Abdul Muqsit, who was Gold Medalist in Law from Aligarh University, India joined legal profession and started his legal practice in District Campbellpur Bar.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Engineer Jameel was also a sportsman during his college time and was Colour Holder of Hockey and Cricket Team of Cadet College for the years (1967–69). He was twice elected President of POFs Officers Association (1992–96) and was also elected Secretary General of Abdalians Association (1999–2002). He was also candidate for the post of Chairmanship for Pakistan Engineering Council for the term 2011-2013 but that election was postponed.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
He firstly joined NESPAK and was retired from Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Defence, POFs Board, Wah Cantt. After retirement and before incorporation of his own Company JAMCO in December 2005, he also remained Project Manager of KARCON (PVT) LIMITED and Chief Engineer (Works) of M/S SOAN VALLEY SHELTERS (PVT) LIMITED.
He possessed more than 38 years professional experience, which includes designing, planning, supervision and execution of large engineering projects both independently or in the supervisory capacity and some of the projects executed by him are of classified nature and of great national importance. He also possessed sufficient experience in Tendering, Rate Analysis, Specifications and Critical Path Method (CPM) for Construction Scheduling etc.
Moreover, Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik belongs to a family of Attock, whose family profession is engineering. His eldest brother Professor Engineer Doctor Rasheed Ahmad Malik has done PHD in Mechanical Engineering from Sheffield University in 1971 whereas his other elder brother Engineer Saeed Ahmad Malik is a Graduate Civil Engineer (year 1961) from UET, Lahore.
